Hunters slide down to seventh spot

After six rounds, the Hunters have collected eight points from four wins and two losses.

Points for and against is what has pushed the Hunters out of the top six.

The Norths Devils, Souths Logan Magpies, Townsville Blackhawks and the Hunters are all tied on eight points, but points for and against of nil has moved the Hunters down to seventh spot.

The top 6:

Redcliffe Dolphins (10), Sunshine Coast Falcons (9), Easts Tigers (9), Norths Devils (8), Souths Logan Magpies (8), Townsville Blackhawks (8).

Critical game for PNG SP Hunters this Sunday

On the match report, the Falcons will travel without some of their best players, including Eddie Tautali, Curtis Scott, Richard Kennar, Mark Nicholls and Joe Stimson. They haven’t been named in the Falcons side to take on PNG, with their finals spot cemented.

This will be an advantage to the home side, moreover, taking advantage of PNG’s all-time rowdy crowd to claim victory.

The Hunters are unbeaten at home this season and will have no problem getting past a weakened Falcons side, which could be focusing on the same match-up in the finals in a week’s time.
