Covid cases

There are now 4,355 active cases with four cases admitted at the Acute Care Unit with an additional 3 carers.

All patients have mild or no Covid symptoms but have underlying illness.

According to the report, 202 tests were done on Thursday.

A total of 15,203 tests were conducted in this outbreak.

The report said 3,598 cases have recovered.

To date there has been one death.

A total of 67 houses are on lockdown with 1,037 residents.

It is the highest number of deaths reported in a daily update during the current wave, and the biggest daily increase since 59 deaths were reported on 4 September in 2020.

The daily death tolls include a number of recent deaths reported to health authorities and do not indicate that all the deaths occurred on the previous day.

There are now 988 people in hospital after contracting the virus, down from 1057 reported on Thursday.

Of those patients, 114 are in intensive care units and 40 are receiving ventilation.

The group said they would reschedule the gigs due to take place in Glasgow on Friday, and at the O2 in London on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

They did not say who had tested positive for coronavirus.

The Last Domino? tour started in September after being postponed by almost a year because of the pandemic.
