China allows three children in major policy shift

China scrapped its decades-old one-child policy in 2016, replacing it with a two-child limit which has failed to lead to a sustained upsurge in births.

The cost of raising children in cities has deterred many Chinese couples.

The latest move was approved by President Xi Jinping at a meeting of top Communist Party officials.

Nauru prepares for Census 2021

Census Coordinator Lindsey Thoma from the Bureau of Statistics said in an interview with Radio Nauru FM 105 that the national census which is conducted every ten years is about counting everyone on the island within the given census timeframe.

Nauru Media News – NTV reports a census has a reference date for instance if it is October 30 then the person will be counted including the place where he is sleeping or the family they are staying with at this particular point of time.

Turnbull accuses IBM of failing to protect census website from attack

The Federal Government has not ruled out seeking compensation over the failure of the website, which IBM was contracted to run on behalf of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

The website was shut down after numerous denial of service (DoS) attacks, along with hardware failure, prevented millions of Australians from filling out their census forms online on Tuesday night.
