Boe crowned champions of Nauru Sevens series

The hard path to glory....Evergreen started the finals day with confidence as they defeated Blues 28-5 in the 1st qualifying final and then went on to blast Boe away 19-0 in the 2nd qualifying final, enabling Evergreen to rest and wait for the outcome of the 3rd qualifying final to see who they would face in the grand final match at the end of the day.

The 3rd qualifying final began with German Grundler running in 2 tries to put BoeE in the lead 12-0. But Blues hit back with Kingston Ika and Siolada Tafu scoring tries to see the score tied at 12-12 at half-time.

BOE community celebrates Christmas in style

The hall was decorated and sitting arrangements were made for all the guests as organisers promised a night to remember.

Guests arrived to the sounds of Christmas carols and songs and the formalities began with an opening prayer by Rev. Dempsey Detenamo.

Just as guests were about to tuck into the lovely spread, a group of girls ran onto the floor to shake some moves in two hula dancing items.

Children from Sunday school groups also sang a number of Christmas carols and hymns much to the delight of everyone.
