Their recruitment comes in response to a call from the Nauru Government’s Ministry of Health for Pacific Island nurses to assist in restructuring and delivering good quality nursing care to the people of Nauru at the end of last year.
The Daily Post reports the nurses include retired nurses, nurses that are on holiday and graduates from Anne’s Christian Community Health School.
Another 24 nurses are expected to leave for Nauru in the next few months.
