Boeing directors agree to $237.5M settlement on 737 Maxs

Two fatal 737 Max crashes killed 346 people within five months, in 2018 and 2019; one in Indonesia and the other in Ethiopia.

Following the crashes Boeing's best selling plane was grounded for 20 months, then returned to service after the company made significant software and training improvements.

The proposed agreement was filed to a Delaware court on Friday and confirmed by Boeing.

She apologised to Brittany Higgins for making the slur at her in her office in February.

Ms Higgins had publicly accused another staff member of raping her in 2019.

In public the minister had stood behind her former employee when she made the accusation.

Ms Reynolds remains on sick leave and on Friday posted an apology on social media, adding she "did not mean it in the sense it may have been understood".

Lawyers for the family said the footage created "undeniable demand for justice and change".

Jury selection for Mr Chauvin's murder trial is currently under way.

Six out of 12 jurors have been selected for hearings beginning on 29 March.

The Minneapolis City Council voted unanimously to approve the pre-trial settlement, the largest ever awarded in the state of Minnesota.

James Franco sexual misconduct case settled

According to the agreement, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, who attended Franco's now-defunct Studio 4, have dropped their claims.

The women alleged that the Hollywood actor engaged in "sexually-charged behaviour towards female students".

Franco's lawyers previously described the claims as "false and inflammatory".

BBC News has contacted representatives for Franco to ask if he has any further comment in light of the settlement.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been simultaneously negotiating with the US government on reducing settlement activity.

Palestinian officials have condemned the move.
