Music DJ contest announces winners

Their efforts in the competition that has been rocking the Gold Club every Saturday nights at 10 pm paid off in the grand final decision last Saturday.

In a small media conference today, Brendan Chan a.k.a DJ Dirtyfingerz was announced the winner of the premium level and Phillip Yagro a.k.a DJ Fix announced the winner in the reserve level.

Chan and Yagro over the last seven weeks, have been battling it out for their respective titles, with other DJ’s such as DJ X-Clusive, DJ Swatz, DJ Was, DJ Acid, DJ Cradle and DJ Swagg, to mention a few.

Six DJ’s to battle it out at Lamana

The almost one month battle between the DJ’s will see its actual kick-off at 10 pm this Saturday June 18.

Three new faces on the scene are DJs Acid, Cradle and Swagg competing in the B grade while the more experienced  DJs X-Clusive, Swatz and Was compete in the A grade.

Asked what we will expect, Assistant Hotel General Manger Jacquie Simons said:

“Very tough competition as one elimination per grade and there's  three A grade and three B grade. They'll be looking at impressing to stay in the game.”

Big Mountain set to rock Port Moresby

The band arrived in the country this week and performed on Thursday night for Lae fans at the Ascots Nightclub. They arrived in Moresby from Lae this afternoon.

Big Mountain is known for its cover version of Peter Frampton's "Baby, I Love Your Way," which became a Top 10 hit single in the U.S. in early 1994.

The band is excited to be back in the country after performing for the first time in 2013 and looking forward to performing again on stage in front of the Moresby fans.
