Indian High Commissioner presents credentials to Nauru President

The recently accredited Indian High Commissioner to Nauru, Ms Padmaja has presented her credentials to President Lionel Aingimea.

Ms. Padmaja is presently High Commissioner of India to Fiji, with residence in Suva.

Prior to her appointment she was Deputy Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Nauru and India established bilateral relations in 1968 at the time of the island nation’s independence.

Nauru has an Honorary Consul General in New Delhi.
