Microsoft’s intrusive upgrade prompts are something that have attracted a fair amount of controversial discussions over the past one year.
Ranging from disrupting a live weather forecast to facing a$10,000 lawsuit, Windows 10 pop-ups has annoyed people in multiple ways.
You might be knowing that Microsoft’s free Windows 10 upgrade offer will expire later this month on July 29. While there are some clever tricks to reserve your free Windows 10 copy for future use, Microsoft is going to charge you $119 for a copy of Windows 10.
To make sure that more and more people board the free Windows 10 train, Microsoft is here with something that looks like its last and worst attempt.
With the help of a full-screen pop-up, Microsoft is now trying to grab people’s attention and luring them into pressing the upgrade button.
The upgrade pop-up says “Sorry to interrupt” and calls it “important”. The pop-up comes with clear options giving you the choice to select options “Upgrade now”, “Remind me later”, “Notify me three times”, and “Do not notify me again.”
If you are using a genuine copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, pressing the “Upgrade Now” button will instantly start the upgrade process.
Redmond also states that if a person has the latest “Get Windows 10” app on the PC, he/she won’t be seeing this full-screen notice. The same thing applies for those who have already installed the latest Windows 10 operating system.
Please note that existing methods to deny the update and suppress the notifications also work for this pop-up.
