Apple thinks “Everyone can code”, What do you say?

At a Special Launch Event, Apple had something more to offer than the annual iPhone refresh with slight improvements.

It is a new program called Everyone Can Code. Apple will help students how to code in Swift which is their home-baked programming language. For this, an app called Swift Playgrounds, demonstrated at WWDC 2016, would debut on iPads this fall.

The Swift Playgrounds app would feature an interactive interface with animated characters which the students could control by typing simple commands. The app will help students, who have no prior coding knowledge, get the basics of Swift. If they want to do more they can use the App Development with Swift guide and code their own iOS app using XCode.

Everyone Can Code is a part of the President Obama’s ConnectED initiative for which Apple has pledged $100 million. Apple has, since, worked with 114 schools which lack in proper technology infrastructure by providing them iPads, Macs, Apple TVs for classrooms, and installed high-speed wireless networks.
