The management of Nauru’s Department of Environment and Agriculture will be hosting competitions for the public and schools to participate in to celebrate and create awareness for World Environment Day on Monday.
World Environment Day is celebrated annually around the world to encourage environmental actions and awareness.
This year’s theme is “Solutions to plastic pollution.”
With the increasing impacts of plastic pollution and other factors that contributes to plastic pollution, acting on the matter can make a difference.
Results for the competitions will be announced at the Centennial hall from 9am to 3pm on Monday.
Stalls prepared by the various schools will also be displayed.
