New Pacific affairs minister in Australian cabinet reshuffle

Australia's Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, has announced a new minister for international development and the Pacific in a cabinet reshuffle.

Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells takes the position from Steve Ciobo, who is now the Liberal government's trade minister.

Ms Fierravanti-Wells was first elected to the Australian Senate in 2004, after a career as a government lawyer and policy advisor.

Julie Bishop retains the foreign affairs portfolio.
