Nauru 7s rugby team returns home winless from Noosa 7s

The Nauru 7s rugby team is heading home from the Noosa International 7s Festival in Queensland without a win at hand.

The side lost all their games in the tournament over the weekend.

In pool play, Digicel Nauru lost 45-0 to Tribes 7s, 47-0 to Tabadamu and 39-0 to Iconz 7s.

The team went on to lose 45-0 to Active Life Rehab in the quarter finals.

The tournament was won by Fiji-based club, Tabadamu.

The Nauru 7s team will now prepare for the Oceania 7s Championship which are scheduled for November in Fiji.

According to Nauru Rugby, this will be the main event for the team competing in a tournament that includes the best in the world and it will be a great way to finish off 2016.
