Fiji’s Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has congratulated the Republic of Nauru on the 48th anniversary of the nation’s independence.
In a congratulatory message to the President of Nauru, Baron Waqa, Bainimarama spoke of the strong relations shared between Fiji and Nauru.
He says the two countries have over the years built a solid and steady relationship which he is confident will continue to mutually enhance this year.
Bainimarama also spoke about the common challenges faced amongst Pacific nations and reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to work closely with her neighbours to address these challenges.
