Azealia Banks sets her sights on Rihanna in latest feud

The rapper ignited a social media battle with Rihanna after she tweeted her opposition to President Donald Trump's temporary ban of immigrants from seven predominately Muslim countries.

"Disgusted," Rihanna tweeted. "The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such BS!!"

Banks then took to Instagram on Sunday to slam Rihanna in a series of expletive-filled posts -- eventually posting what she claimed was Rihanna's phone number.

Most notably, it marked the opening of the Costume Institute's "China: Through the Looking Glass" exhibition, which went on to become the Metropolitan Museum of Art's fifth most-visited show of all time.

But it was also the moment Rihanna wore an elaborately embroidered, fur-trimmed creation designed by couturier Guo Pei on the red carpet, introducing the Chinese designer to a global audience.

The North Bergen Police Department, based in New Jersey, said: "She is safe and at a medical facility.

"Detectives have contacted her father and he is in route from Los Angeles to reunite with his daughter."

Rihanna and Missy Elliot were among the people who posted pleas on social media to help find the dancer, who had been missing since Friday.

Rihanna's Instagram post said: "This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!!

"My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her!"

For the 2016 version held at Madison Square Graden on Sunday, there were plenty of outstanding performances but arguably the best of them of all was Rihanna, who mounted a tour de force, appearing on stage four times, including opening and closing the event.

For every performance there was a new outfit and complimenting all of the looks were jewels.

Rihanna to accept Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at MTV VMAs

MTV announced the news on Thursday that they wanted to honor the eight-time Grammy winner when the show airs August 28 from New York City's Madison Square Garden.

The singer took to Twitter to say how "honored" she is to win the prestigious award.

The Vanguard -- MTV's lifetime achievement award -- was given in 1984 to David Bowie, the Beattles and Richard Lester. It was renamed after Michael Jackson in 1991.

It's MTV's highest honour and is known as the Michael Jackson video vanguard award.

Last year Kanye West won the trophy, with Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears previously getting it.

"[The award] reflects an artist's impact not just on music but on pop culture, fashion, film and philanthropy," says MTV.

She will also perform at the ceremony in New York, as well as being nominated for best collaboration and best female video.

Beyonce leads the nominations though with 11 nods, while Adele is up for eight.

'Ocean's Eight' to have all-female lead cast

Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter and rapper Awkwafina are close to deals to join Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway and Cate Blanchett for the Warner Bros. heist film "Ocean's Eight," according to sources close to the production.

The casting of the spinoff, which was first reported by Deadline, follows the studios' successful "Ocean's Eleven" franchise. This time the crew will be all women.
