No more watching the same minute-long intro song and credits before every episode of "Orange is the New Black." Netflix told CNNMoney Friday that some Netflix members recently began seeing a "Skip Intro" button while streaming, but wouldn't say when it first appeared.

Based on the young-adult mystery novel by Jay Asher, Gomez is an executive producer on the show about a teenage girl who leaves behind cassette tapes explaining her suicide.

The actress-turned-singer teamed up with her mother, Mandy Teefey, to bring the series to screen.

Gomez posted a trailer for the show on Instagram to announce its March 31 premiere date.

On Thursday, she shared a selfie explaining how the series came about.

Issues began just before 3 pm ET and lasted about three hours. And during the outage, users took to Twitter (TWTR, Tech30) to air their complaints. Downdetector -- which monitors outage complaints online -- reported more than 13,000 posts from users all over the world Saturday afternoon.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 147 points, or 0.9 percent, to 16,646 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index climbed 17 points, or 0.9 percent, to 1,986. The Nasdaq composite rose 46 points, or 1 percent, to 4,857.

Japan's market jumped the most in almost seven years as investors hoped for more stimulus measures. Markets in China and Europe also rose sharply.

The online streaming service announced the news Thursday.

The film will be based on Loung Ung's memoir of her experiences during the Khmer Rouge regime as a child. It's expected to be available on Netflix in late 2016.

Jolie co-adapted the script with Ung. The actress and director says the memoir deepened her understanding of how children experience war. It also helped reinforce her connection to Cambodia, where her son Maddox was born.
