Mexico trailer storing corpses angers residents

Authorities said on Monday they were trying to relocate the container, which was rented after mortuaries in the city of Guadalajara became full.

"We have a lot of children in this neighbourhood... it could make us all sick," resident José Luis Tovar said.

Laws in Mexico prevent the cremation of bodies linked to violent crime.

Local authorities said they were looking for a longer-term solution to store the bodies following a recent wave of violence.

Brazil 2 Mexico 0

Tite's men are yet to hit full stride at Russia 2018, and on this evidence they still have more to come, but Neymar's 51st-minute goal and Firmino's tap-in after coming off the bench meant the tournament favourites progressed with relative comfort in the end, and avoided the early exit that has already befallen the likes of Spain, Germany and Argentina.

Mexico were the dominant force in the opening 20 minutes in Samara, but they were unable to make their superiority count and eventually allowed their muted opponents to scrap their way into the game.

The league and the Mexico Ministry of Tourism have announced an agreement to play three regular-season games from 2019 to 2021.

News of the deal came ahead of Sunday's huge matchup between the Oakland Raiders and defending champions the New England Patriots at Estadio Azteca.

That clash is the second of a current three-year Mexico deal that is set to expire after next season. The league has yet to announce which teams will make the trip in 2018.

Poland 0 Mexico 1

Adam Nawalka's men piled on 13 goals over their final three World Cup qualifying matches but, with Lewandowski resting an injured thigh, were held to a 0-0 home draw by Uruguay on Friday.

And further questions over the team's attacking depth were raised by a second toothless display.

Raul Jimenez's 13th minute goal proved the difference in a muted affair as both managers looked to experiment with their options for the World Cup.

Mexico 2 New Zealand 1 Peralta completes dramatic comeback

After Juan Carlos Osorio made eight changes to Mexico's team, it looked like he would pay the price when Chris Wood gave New Zealand a shock first-half lead, the first time his country have scored in six Confederations Cup matches.

But Raul Jimenez's third goal in his last four internationals brought Osorio's men back on level terms after the break and Peralta's winner ensured El Tri secured victory despite star striker Javier Hernandez remaining on the substitutes' bench.

Backlash at Mexico judge over 'no carnal intent' ruling

Judge Anuar González said that the suspect, Diego Cruz, had penetrated a 17-year-old girl with his fingers but had done so "without carnal intent".

The district judge said there was not enough evidence to jail Mr Cruz on charges of sexual assault.

The girl's father said the judge's arguments were "abominable".

He said that "if this is approved, then any adult can touch a minor and by simply arguing that it wasn't done lasciviously, that he didn't have any intention to copulate, he's going to get off," the father argued.

Mexico warns US over border wall funding

Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray said the government could place tariffs on selected goods from US states reliant on exports to Mexico.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump vowed to start building the wall "soon, way ahead of schedule".

The US government says it will start accepting design proposals next month.

The US Customs and Border Protection Agency says it will ask companies to submit proposals "for the design and build of several prototype wall structures" on or around 6 March.
