Early guilty plea for Fijian Parramatta Eels winger

Sivo was cited in the Eels 17-16 golden point win over defending NRL champions Pantrhers last week.

He will be fined $3000 for his dangerous contact.

Meanwhile, Raiders five-eighth Jack Wighton, Eels prop Junior Paulo and Cowboys back-rower Jeremiah Nanai will all spend the next two weeks on the sideline after pleading guilty to their round four charges.

Super Sivo stars as Storm sunk in Bankwest rain

A day of torrential rain in Western Sydney couldn't dampen the quality of football from both sides.

Masterful long kicking and epic defence from both teams came before and a couple of superb attacking plays decided the match.

Sivo's two aerial masterpieces, out-leaping opposite George Jennings from high attacking kicks, proved the difference.

Happy Eels coach Brad Arthur praised the kicking of halfback Mitchell Moses but cautioned his side now needed to continually replicate that performance.

Sivo’s NRL future still unclear

The 27-year-old Parramatta Eels sensation remains unsigned for the 2022 season.

There are reports that Sivo’s contract is up for negotiations and is placing his trust on his Manager to find ground his future.

He has scored 37 tries in 46 appearances for the Eels.

Fiji Bati Head Coach Rabele says Sivo has got what it takes to be part of the Fiji Bati squad for the Rugby League World Cup.

The 2021 NRL season kicks off with the Rabbitohs taking on defending champions Melbourne Storm on March 11th.

Having spent Sunday night in a jail cell, Sivo fronted Nadi Magistrate Court on Monday morning and was granted bail on a bond of $500 following an incident at a luxury Nadi resort late on Boxing Day in which he allegedly tugged a waitress' dress.

Magistrate Peni Dalituicama also placed a stop travel order on the 26-year-old, telling him he would have to face court again on January 7 to enter a plea — the day after he is due to start training with the Eels in preparation for the 2020 season.

Bail was granted by Magistrate Peni Dalituicama, however a stop departure order was placed on Sivo.

The case will be called again on the 7th of January 2020 for plea.

Sivo, Brown keep Eels on finals charge

Tries to Maika Sivo and Dylan Brown in the first half enabled the Eels to take  a 10-0 lead into the break, but the second period proved far more difficult for the visitors to put the Dragons away.

St George Illawarra lost winger Zac Lomax in the pre-game warm-up to a hamstring concern with Mikaele Ravalawa coming into the side in No.21 jersey as a replacement.

Ravalawa helped get the Dragons on the board in the 47th minute to narrow the visitors' lead after a Corey Norman cross-field kick fell back to James Graham, who helped send the Fijian flyer over in the corner.
