Officials miss foul on LeBron James as LA Lakers lose to Boston Celtics

James was denied a foul by Jayson Tatum when driving for the basket with the scores level at 105-105 and 4.1 seconds left in regulation time.

Officiating crew chief Eric Lewis later said his team had "missed the play."

James scored a game-high 41 points in the defeat.

"I don't understand it," he said on the foul by Tatum not being given in his side's favour.

"You've seen some of the games we've lost with late-game missed calls. I don't see it happening to nobody else."

Lebron James inspires LA Lakers to overtime win over Indiana Pacers

The Lakers trailed for most of the game but James scored 39 points, including eight of their 12 points in overtime in Indianapolis.

The 36-year-old was banned for one game after clashing with Detroit Pistons' Isaiah Stewart on Sunday.

Russell Westbrook scored 20 points for the Lakers.

They were without Anthony Davis, who missed the game with flu-like symptoms, and Indiana - led by Malcolm Brogdon's 28 points - were in control for the majority of the contest.

LeBron James reveals his ridiculous no-look 3-pointer

On Tuesday night, the Lakers make quick and early work of the Houston Rockets, taking a 21-point lead after the first quarter.

That lead ballooned to 24 with just under eight minutes to play in the second quarter when LeBron decided to channel his inner Stephen Curry with a no-look 3-pointer of the most emphatic variety.

We've seen Curry, and other players, do this from time to time but, usually, it involves turning and running back on defense as something of a preemptive celebration.

LA Lakers edge win over Chicago Bulls, Warriors beat Clippers

Reigning NBA champions the Lakers, without the injured Anthony Davis, won 117-115 with James adding seven rebounds and seven assists.

Zach LaVine top-scored for the Bulls with 38 points, 19 of which came in the first quarter.

Elsewhere, Stephen Curry scored 38 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Clippers 115-105.

The Warriors netted 20 three-pointers to avenge their defeat by the Clippers on Wednesday, bouncing back from 22 points behind to secure their fifth win in seven games.

Lakers beat Heat to clinch 17th NBA title

Anthony Davis had 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Rajon Rondo scored 19 for the Lakers, who matched the Boston Celtics for most titles in league history with their first championship since 2010.

James, named the Finals' MVP, earned his fourth title with his third different team.

Bam Adebayo had 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder scored 12 each for the Heat, whose Cinderella run at the NBA bubble came to an end.

LeBron James nears another NBA playoff record

Sunday’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat will be the 260th of James’ playoff career, lifting him into sole possession of first place on the league’s postseason appearances list.

James is in his 17th season. After missing the playoffs in his first two seasons, he has reached the postseason 14 times in 15 years. His teams in Cleveland, Miami and now Los Angeles have gone 14-0 in first-round series with James on the roster, 11-3 in second-round series and 10-1 in the conference-final round.

After a lethargic loss in Game 3, the Lakers showed their composure to bounce back and seal victory with a stellar second-half performance.

James led all scorers with 28 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

His teammate Anthony Davis added 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four blocks.

Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro finished 22 and 21 points, respectively, to lead the Heat.

Despite not producing one of his more prolific performances, James rated it as one of his best ever.

LeBron James reflects on Kobe Bryant's warm welcome to Lakers

His friend Kobe Bryant was the last player to lead the Lakers there, and with his passing earlier this year, the team, city of Los Angeles and the basketball world as a whole are reflecting on past memories of Bryant.

LeBron and Kobe are among the biggest names in the league over the past few decades and both were friends and competitors who respected each other as people and as players. James says he has had one regret, and that's not spending more time with Bryant and wishes their busy schedules hadn't gotten in the way of a final dinner.

Lakers-Clippers clash postponed

Lakers legend Bryant, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, along with seven others in Calabasas, California.

Sunday and Monday's games have gone ahead as tributes continue to pour in for the five-time champion and 2008 MVP, who spent his entire 20-year career with the Lakers.

However, Tuesday's blockbuster clash at Staples Center will be rescheduled at a later date, with Los Angeles reeling following Bryant's sudden death.
