Hayne attracting attention from numerous NRL clubs

Hayne quit the NFL on Monday in a bid to play rugby union sevens at the Rio Olympics later this year.

Speculation is rife he will return to rugby league next year, after leaving in 2014 to pursue his American dream.

Sydney Roosters, who are around $600,000 under this year's salary cap - money that could be used a sign-on fee for Hayne - remain the favourites to snare the former Parramatta superstar.

Young Sun Ah Chee right in the mix for round one

Ah Chee kicked a goal and had nine disposals against Adelaide on Friday night in his first game at Metricon Stadium. 

He seemed to handle the slippery conditions as well as anyone with his clean ball-handling a feature.

The 18-year-old told AFL.com.au he was not yet projecting to round one, preferring to take each day as it comes.

US company to produce 2018 Commonwealth Games ceremonies

The organisers said the Boston-based business Jack Morton was contracted after a worldwide selection process.

Committee spokesman Marcus Hill said the company had been operating in Australia for decades and was best-suited for the job.

"They actually have range previous experiences have previously done the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow," he said.
