Digicel’s new telemeds for Nauru on-island health consultations

On 28 December, the official handover of the service to President Baron Waqa and the RoNH was performed by Digicel Nauru CEO Deepak Khanna at the hospital’s conference room.

The telemeds teleconference bridge opening was attended by President Waqa and Madam Louisa Waqa, Health Minister Charmaine Scotty along with members of her executive health team.

Digicel’s team included CEO Khanna with technicians on-site as well as back at the Digicel offices in Aiwo who performed a demonstration of the equipment for the President.

Digicel lends timely help to 50 HART children with back to school items

Digicel staff got together and contributed general school stationary items while Star Printery gave all the exercise books to the children.

Digicel Fiji CEO, Mike Greig made the presentation and met the children and encouraged them to do their best in school this year.

“This is an excellent gesture at the start of the year, I want to thank Digicel Fiji staff who took pride and made an effort to buy stationary and help some needy children in our community,” said Greig.

Digicel provides new telemedicine facility for Suva Children’s Hospital

Digicel Founder and Chairman, Denis O’Brien, who was in Fiji last week as part of a tour of Digicel’s Pacific markets, launched the new teleconference facility at the hospital in Suva.

Digicel worked in partnership with the International Women’s Association, a non-profit group to see this milestone project through.

Digicel launches new music app

Digicel Nauru Chief Executive Officer, Deepak Khanna said, “The d’Music app was designed to give our customers access to music right at their fingertips, whenever they want it, wherever they want it. Currently, we have over 30 million songs for our customers to choose from.”

Digicel provides free Wi-Fi at Fiji’s Premiere Fashion Event

The sponsorship package includes telecommunications support for the FJFW administration which will be held from 21st to 25th May at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

Digicel launches leadership program

The program was launched today in Port Moresby.

Aspire is a development program designed to provide leadership training for high potential Digicel staff to support and prepare them to move into future leadership positions within the business.
