Nauru Commonwealth Games athletes undergo Covid-19 test

The team of over 20 team members consisting of officials and athletes were flown in on a Nauru Airlines flight.

They represented the country at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

The team brought home a bronze medal which was won and proudly worn by the superstar weightlifter Maximina Uepa.

Nauru continues to participate at the Commonwealth Games after making its debut in 1990.

     

Little Mix The Search: BBC talent show halted by positive Covid tests

Saturday's broadcast of Little Mix The Search has been postponed as a result.

Its producers said they hoped to be back on air by the following Saturday, 24 October.

They have not revealed who has tested positive or how many, but did confirm that none of the four members of the UK girl band had contracted the virus.

Those who have tested positive "are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines," a statement said.

This follows positive swab tests for coronavirus on Friday and Saturday.

Essendon's brief statement on Tuesday said the club would "work with relevant medical experts over the coming days to further understand these results".

McKenna went home for the early stages of lockdown before returning Down Under when an AFL resumption was announced.

Prior to Friday's test, the 24-year-old former Red Hands U21 player had tested negative five times since arriving back in Australia.
