Worcester Warriors 25-46 Bath

Bath ended their three-match losing Premiership run with a comfortable victory at struggling Worcester.

Tries from flankers Paul Grant and Matt Garvey either side of half time put the visitors in control before England's Anthony Watson raced in to score.

David Denton, Joe Taufet'ee and Perry Humphreys all scored second-half tries for Worcester.

But lock James Phillips and two tries for Kahn Fotuali'i sealed Bath's winning bonus point.

After Rhys Priestland's opening two penalties inside the first 14 minutes, Chris Pennell got Warriors back in the game when he finally slotted one home from close to the halfway line having missed his first two attempts at goal.

Chris Cook then slipped an inside-pass for Grant to go over to the right of posts for the first try of the night, Priestland adding the extras.

Pennell landed a penalty with the last kick of the half to reduce the arrears to 13-6.

Shortly after the restart Bath captain Garvey scrambled his way over after almost messing up a three-man overlap down the right and Priestland's kick took Bath's lead to 20-6.

Watson raced clear for Bath's third try on 53 minutes but Denton offered hope by immediately crashing over under the posts for the home side, Pennell converting to reduce the gap to 14 points again.

However, Bath went almost straight back up the other end and lock Phillips powered over to secure the bonus point with Freddie Burns kicking the goal, which he did again when Fotuali'i successfully charged down for the fifth try.

There was still time for a late flurry of points including two tries for the hosts from replacement prop Taufet'ee and winger Humphreys in the left corner, followed by the best of the night when Fotuali'i reacted sharpest to pounce on a brilliant last-gasp round-the-back offload from winger Jack Wilson to dive over.

Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"We have to hold our hands up and say we were outplayed. They looked a much better side and played exceptionally well.

"Bath are a good team who were bound to come right in the end. Everything clicked for them.

"Their physicality was the main thing. We were outmuscled and conceded some soft tries."

Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder:

"We took on board the lessons we've learned over the past few weeks and did the simple things well.

"Our physicality was good, we showed an attacking brand of rugby and we scored some good tries to get us the bonus point.

"I'm really proud of that performance to get us back in the pack again. Chris Cook was outstanding and it was good to see Anthony Watson get some space."
