Taylor Swift wants the mansion she owns in Los Angeles to be made a local historical landmark.
The estate was built in 1934 by Samuel Goldwyn, one of America's most famous independent movie producers.
Taylor Swift bought the property in Beverly Hills for $25m (£20.7m) in January 2015.
It has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a library, theatre, guest suite with separate entrance and servants quarters located above a garage.
Architect Douglas Honnold designed the estate.
After he died in 1974, the house passed to his son - Samuel Goldwyn Jr - who put it on the market in 2008 for $24m (£19.8m).
After his death two years ago, the property was listed for $39m (£32m) before being sold to Taylor Swift for $14m (£11.6m) less than the asking price.
Samuel Goldwyn Jr was also a top Hollywood producer.
His last film production credit was The Secret Life of Walter Mitty in 2013 and his son is Scandal actor Tony Goldwyn.
The Beverly Hills Cultural Heritage Commission voted in favour of Taylor Swift's request to landmark the home last week.
It'll now go to LA's City Council for final approval, according to Mansion Global.
Taylor Swift is restoring the home and is reconstructing the windows, wooden fencing and rebuilding columns around the pool.
"When this project's done, hopefully this year sometime soon, it's going to be really spectacular," architect Monique Schenk said at the Beverly Hills Cultural Heritage Commission meeting last Wednesday.
"We've preserved and maintained a lot of the elements and those that were deteriorating, we've replicated."
Taylor Swift also has homes in Nashville, New York and a mansion next to the beach in Rhode Island.
