US bomber aircraft crashes in Guam

An American Air Force B-52 bomber aircraft crashed at an airfield in Guam, but military officials said all seven crew members survived.

In a statement they said all the crew made their way safely out of the plane, which crashed at 8.30 am Wednesday (Guam time) at Andersen Air Force Base in the village of Yigo.

The B-52H Stratofortress had been taking part in a routine training mission when the incident occurred.

The base says the crash is under investigation.
