A special 3 day workshop which started on Monday 21st till Wednesday 23rd September was organized by save the children and women’s department.
The workshop was carried out by Paul Stein who came all the way from Western Australia and is a Master Instructor on Rock and Water.
Rock and Water started in Holland and now it’s been practiced in some other countries like China and Australia just to name a few. It is basic learning on how to control yourself from your emotions, such as anger, stress and pain.
It is also a lesson on how not to become a bully’s target, how to learn body languages, learn to trust, and a whole lot more you can get out of this program.
From day one they focused on Youth, on the second day targets a younger crowd and on the third day they aim at certain departments, sporting bodies and district communities.
This is new to Nauru, and a lot of locals and even some foreigners were interested in the workshop and showed great enthusiasm with the activities which were a part of the learning process. Those who participated benefitted greatly.
All received a flash stick which contains more on the topic and a certificate at the end of the day in completion of the program.
