Papua New Guinea and New Zealand went off scoreless in the first half of the nations cup final.

With an awesome crowd, it gave PNG team the boost to play with confidence against the favorites.

New zealand being dominant in the first half with the advantage of the wind direction, PNG held them off with a strong backline defence from the Komolong brothers Alwin and Felix with Koriak Upaiga.

However, with multiple attempts by the favorites, PNG goal keeper Ronald Warisan kept the ball off the net countless times.
