Nauru Rugby 7s – sponsored by Digicel, once again hosted a fundraising event at the Nauru Centennial Hall to raise funds for the Nauru Rugby 7s Team.
Hundreds of people turned out to support the team efforts to raise much needed funds.
The President of the Nauru Rugby Union Honourable Kieren Keke said he was delighted with the continued sponsorship of Digicel and he also liked to thank Nauru Airline, Capelle & Partner, Menen Hotel, Yaren Pago TAB and Triple J for their on-going and generous support.
Ben Kealy, Digicel CEO said that: “I am delighted to be in a position to help and support Nauru Rugby 7s. Coming from a strong rugby background in Ireland, I fully understand how hard it is to get support and sponsorship. As part of Digicel’s Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR), the Rugby 7s plays a key part in our local community involvement and support.”
He concluded by saying: “that he wishes President Kieren and the 7s Team the very best of luck in the forthcoming tournaments”
