Jennifer Aniston 'bows her head in shame' over movies

Actress and former Friends star Jennifer Aniston isn't proud of every film she's starred in.

During an interview with Harpers Bazaar magazine, the 47-year-old said she "bows her head in slight shame" over some of her movies.

"There was a time when I worked and worked and worked. I loved it," she told the mag. "I'm a bit of a people pleaser. I've got to stop. Some of the movies I've made, I bow my head in slight shame over."

Aniston has focused primarily on her film career since the long-running sitcom Friends wrapped in 2004.

"I can do other things. I feel a sense of freedom that I hadn't necessarily felt before," she said.

"Also, you have to start taking chances in an industry that's very insecure about taking chances on people. People forget who actors are. They say, 'You're too known to play that part. You can't disappear.' And we're like, 'Give us a chance. We'll disappear.'"

Aniston's filmography includes The Break-Up, He's Just Not That Into You and Horrible Bosses and Along Came Polly.

In 2014, Aniston received a Golden Globe nod for her efforts in the critically-acclaimed independent drama Cake.
