PNG’s ultimate Khax to be revealed this Sunday on TVWAN Life

The locally-produced Digicel Play TV show is a first of its kind talent show profiling Papua New Guinea’s most talented, unique and brightest entertainers.

The winner of the show will walk away with K20, 000, second place will receive K10,000 and a K5,000 prize will go to the third placed act.

After two exciting semi-final rounds, six of the most talented acts have made it into the inaugural grand finale on Sunday night. The top six acts that will battle it out in front of the judges to be crowned PNG’s ultimate khax include:

Beatboxers confident as Yu Em Khax semis loom

The two, calling themselves NoiZiiK, are among nine acts from the heats who made it through and are the only beatboxing act for the semi-finals.

They are also part founders of the beatboxing community in PNG, a form of hip hop art, slowly becoming popular among the young urban population.

Talking with Loop PNG yesterday, the two revealed that their auditioning in the first of its kind talent show was not pre-planned.

And the starting age to take part production is from 18 years and above.

The first of its kind talent show will showcase and profile Papua New Guineas most talented, unique and brightest entertainers.

The show is expected to be a hit as it will be open to individuals and groups performances in all genres including singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, poets, illusionists and magicians.

Digicel Play CEO, Nico Myer says the show will help to develop and recognize the wealth of talent that exists in PNG and share their stories throughout the country.
