Robbie Magasiva leads heartfelt tributes to late brother Pua on his birthday

In a heartfelt post on Instagram on Saturday, Robbie said he was celebrating the birthday of his twin brothers, Pua and Tanumapua Magasiva.

"Today I will celebrate the twins birthday. One I miss every day, the other I’ve got your back every day. Happy birthday Tanumapua. #missyoupoos #Ivegotyourbacktanu," the post said.

It was accompanied by pictures of the brothers as adults and as toddlers.

Pua, well-known for his role on Shortland Street, Sione's Wedding and Power Rangers, was found dead in unsuspicious circumstances in Wellington in May.

Robbie Magasiva: I told my parents that Pua had died

Pua's twin Tanu learned of it first and rang Robbie in the early hours of May 11, but as the eldest sibling it fell to Robbie to deliver the tragic news to their father, Ropati, 70, and their mother, Salafa, 68.

"When Dad answered, he was all chipper, and then I had to tell him and he started wailing," Robbie Magasiva told Woman's Day. "I'd never heard that before."
