Habosi, who was sacked by the Drua last week, will join French Club, Racing 92.

A photo of the robust player checking in at the Nadi International Airport has gone viral on social media.

Habosi left on a flight to Singapore midday yesterday morning.

The Drua terminated Habosi’s contract immediately citing a high-level breach of the club’s Code of Conduct.

Fiji Police are yet to lay any charges against Habosi who is alleged to have assaulted his partner two weeks ago.

The 31-year-old Australian international is currently with the Waratahs, whom he joined after a stint in 2016/17 with Wasps, the English Premiership side.

The 92-cap Wallaby, who has played in three World Cups, offers backline versatility and a nose for scoring. His arrival in Paris will offset the club’s loss of Brice Dulin, who is bound for La Rochelle ar the end of the currently suspended season. 

The Fijian reported back to the Parisians later than permitted after he had gone to the Pacific Islands to construct a new family home following his country’s pool stage elimination from the finals in Japan. 

In a statement posted on the Racing 92 club website on Friday, it stated: “After a few days thinking about the legal deadlines, Jacky Lorenzetti has decided to break Nakarawa’s contract.

It has been claimed that Nakarawa is still in Fiji building a house for his family. However, he was not given permission for an extended leave of absence and has now been struck off the Racing playing roster ahead of their Champions Cup campaigns which starts next Sunday at home to defending champions Saracens. 

In a brief statement published on the club’s website, Racing said: “Racing 92 have provisionally laid off Leone Nakarawa and summoned him to an interview prior to a possible sanction. The club will make no further comments about this decision.”

Carter missed Racing's 15-12 defeat to Leinster in Bilbao due to a hamstring injury but could be fit to face either Toulouse or Castres in Lyon on May 26 in the Top 14 semi-final, according to backs coach Laurent Labit.

If not available in two weeks' time, Carter, who will leave the French side for Kobelco Steelers in Japan at the season's end, is "sure" to be fit for the June 3 final in Paris, Labit said.

The rugby star this month signed a two-year deal with the Kobe Steelers in Japan, starting in June when the current French season ends.

But Carter has appeared out-of-sorts in recent times, French journalist Catherine Field told NewstalkZB on Tuesday, with him cutting a sorry figure during his last appearance for the Paris club, in October. 

"He's not well, even if you talk to the man who owns the club. Dan Carter is 35 years old, has played rugby most of his life, his body is telling him it is time to take it easy," Field said.
