The New Zealanders led 40 points to 7 at half time and scored 11 tries in total including a hat trick to Wellington hooker Asafo Aumua.

New Zealand remain as the most successful team in U20 Championship history as they now have achieved six titles from their seven previous finals. The side's only final loss was to South Africa in 2012. ​

New Zealand coach Craig Philpott gave his assessment on his team's dominant final performance of the Championship.
