Judging by a sneak peek at the new season, which features first-time coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, it's going to be eventful.

CNN was given an early look at a half-hour season preview of "The Voice" set to air after the Olympic closing ceremony on Sunday, and here's what you should know.

Cyrus and Keys come out swinging

Cyrus spent a large part of Christmas Eve (December 24) teasing the song on her social media accounts before officially making the song available to hear later that day.

The singer recorded the song with American rock band The Flaming Lips, whose lead singer and guitarist Wayne Coyne has been documenting the process on Instagram.

The new track comes a few weeks after Cyrus starred in the bizarre and NSFW video for 'BB Talk', taken from her recent album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

This past weekend the singer and her brother Braison Cyrus headed North to British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest, where they joined forces with Pacific Wild (a local conservation group) in an effort to stop the wolf cull.

Per CBC News, the wolf cull is an annual, legal hunt that's necessary to "remove" the wolves in an effort to save the endangered caribou. Not surprisingly, many environmental activists have called for its end.

When asked about the reports flying around of his alleged hookups with singer Miley Cyrus, the comedian advised E! News to get her gussied up for a date tonight.

"I'm always the last to know these things," the actor remarked. "Just let Miley know that I'll pick her up for dinner at 8."

Show host Miley Cyrus was responsible for most of them. She even came backstage with a lit joint after the show and passed it around to photographers.

"It is entirely understandable for viewers to be confused, after hearing so much about marijuana during the VMA broadcast, to see a powerful advertisement about the dangers of tobacco," said Eric Asche, chief marketing officer of the Truth Initiative, which sponsored two anti-cigarette ads.

Asche said his group was "extremely disappointed" and expressed that feeling to Viacom.

According to E! News, the raunchy bash took place at Beacher's Madhouse and was organized by her close friend, Jeff Beacher. The soirée included little people dressed as ice cream cones and bobbing for something way more X-rated than apples!

"There were fake lines of cocaine on the tables and people bobbing for penis toys in a vat of milk," a source told E! News.

As the camera panned backstage, Cyrus failed to cover up and the broadcast quickly cut away to the crowd while she continued to talk. She then said, "What's happening? Oh, sorry."

Throughout the show, she made drug references and sang about smoking marijuana during the final performance of the show.

Mariana Agathoklis, a representative for MTV, said the shot would be removed from future broadcasts of the show.

The Parents Television Council, an advocacy group, accused MTV of trying to create controversy.

Noting Swift’s posse of “musicians, actresses, models, entrepreneurs,” Cyrus says, “I’m not trying to be in the squad. None of my friends are famous and not because of any other reason than I just like real people who are living real lives, because I’m inspired by them.”

During the young singer's interview for her Marie Claire cover story, Cyrus revealed that Jenner considers her as a friend, and that the two have bonded over Caitlyn's highly publicized transition.

"We've talked a lot about how you can never make every single person happy," Miley tells the mag for their September issue.

"We always laugh about people saying she transitioned to be famous. Which is crazy. Caitlyn has to tell her story, because if she doesn't, everyone else is going to tell it for her."
