Ghana coach confident against USA

Ghana coach Mas-Ud Dramani is confident of qualifying for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup quarterfinals.

Today will be the final matches of the Port Moresby hosted games and the final two positions in Group C are open for grabs.

But for the Ghanaians, they must cause an upset over group leaders, USA, and the other group match between New Zealand and France to end in a drew, to sneak into the quarterfinals.

Dramani said matches are won in 90 minutes and his team will be prepared mentality and physically to cause an upset.

Meanwhile, US Coach Michelle French said they have a plan on how to stop the Ghana side.

“I am confident that our scouts have done a tremendous job to give us a clear picture of what Ghana will look like.”

The USA and Ghana matches will be played at the Sir John Guise Stadium, and New Zealand and France to meet at Bava Park this afternoon.

The current points leader in Group C stand as, USA 4 points, New Zealand 3, France 2 and Ghana 1.

Meanwhile, in Group D this evening, Germany will play Korea Republic and Mexico meet Venezuela.
