Warriors captain to miss Eels game

Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is on baby watch and will miss tonight's NRL match against Parramatta in Sydney.

The fullback is expecting the arrival of his first child with fiancee Ashley Walker and has withdrawn from tonight's clash with the last-placed Eels at ANZ Stadium.

He didn't join his teammates on yesterday's flight from Auckland, with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad called into the squad as his replacement.

It means the Warriors will be without two of their most-important attacking players, with halfback Shaun Johnson sidelined for a second week with an ankle problem.

Injured pair Mason Lino and Issac Luke are expected to start at halfback and hooker respectively.

"We all support Roger and Ashley and wish them all the best," said Warriors head coach Stephen Kearney.

"It's an incredible time in their lives and we're excited for them. There's no question for us in circumstances like this. Family always come first."

Kearney said standoff Blake Green will captain the side in Tuivasa-Sheck's absence.

The other two players to drop out of the 21 players originally named are prop Albert Vete and centre Anthony Gelling.
