The Flying Frigates defeated Tribal Warriors 21-12 to take out the title for the first rugby 7s tournament in Nauru.
The tournament held on Saturday 5th August was the first 7s Tournament of the 2017 Series and set a milestone as being the first-ever rugby played under lights in Nauru.
Great White Sharks came in third place while Rebels settled for fourth place
Johhny Dagiaro showed he meant business with 5 tries and 5 conversions totaling 35 individual points in the tournament.
All player and teams commented on the difference made by being able to play under lights.
The whole environment was cooler and there was excitement with playing under the improved conditions.
The next tournament will be held on August 19, 2017 with the first match kicking off at 5pm (local time).
Teams interested in participating must register by Friday night and must have the Player List ready to hand in on Saturday 30 minutes before the tournament starts.
$50 Registration per team.
