Nauru U18 to compete in its first ever international 7s meet

Nauru Rugby is sending its first U18 Boys team to compete at its maiden international rugby 7s event at the World School of 7s in Auckland, New Zealand.

Led and coached by former Nauru National 7s Rep and Captain, Johnny Dagairo.

Dagairo said - Despite most of the boys have just played rugby in the last year or so, they are full of potential and willing to learn the game of rugby. We have what it takes to play this game and if we put more seriousness and work to its local competitions, I believe we will be very competitive in the international arena. Our team are made up of mostly 17 year olds, meaning they can come back again next year as 18yrs and better their performance from this first tour. We look forward to testing ourselves with some of the best rugby nations around the world and learn from them.
