The $1.675 million agreement with Australia is aimed at improving the country's education standards.
The priorities include improving quality and access to early years, primary and secondary education, creating a proactive and continually improving education system, improved learning outcomes for all students sustainable and a high-quality workforce to meet future education needs.
The aim of the agreement is to achieve better education outcomes in Nauru by 2020.
The Nauru Education Programme is a priority outcome under the Aid Investment Plan (AIP) and Aid Partnership Arrangement 2016-2019 (APA).
The education sector programme is aligned with the Government of Nauru’s National Sustainable Development Strategy 2005-2025.
