VIDEO: Airport security ahead of Obama's visit

Hours before US President Barack Obama was due to arrive at the international airport in Kenya's capital, Nairobi, security preparations were well underway.

Both Kenyan and American security personnel were in the process of securing the airport in the afternoon.

Local media have set up their live trucks in anticipation of Obama's arrival.

"When a head of state like President Barack Obama comes to your country, everything is never left to chance, security will be in top gear, it is never business as usual, it is not like the entry or reception of an African president from the continent but this is such a big deal, just look at how police officers are conducting themselves with a lot of zeal to ensure that everything works according to plan," said Nimrod Taabu, senior reporter Nation TV Kenya.

Obama was due to arrive in Kenya to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
