Sonny Bill Williams' generosity has enveloped the Wellington Sevens with the All Blacks star handing out boots and tickets to a Porirua family to attend the world series event.
Williams tweeted this week he was looking to help someone in Porirua, to honour the memory of recently departed All Black Jerry Collins, who grew up there.
And he found his fan in Winnie, a single mother of five.
Williams tweeted out a picture of Winnie and some of her kids, saying: "Meet Winnie a single mother of 5 who's dedicated her life to her young children.. This is what inspires me!!" It's another act of generosity from the code-crossing superstar.
At last year's World Cup he gave away tickets to a Syrian refugee and friend to attend the semifinal.
After the final he gave away his winner's medal to the young English fan who tried to get on to the field following New Zealand's triumph over Australia.
While in Samoa on an NRL promotion during his time in league, he gave away boots and socks to a needy local player.
His dalliances into boxing included giving away $100,000 of a fight purse to the Christchurch earthquake appeal.
Williams is making his debut in sevens in Wellington as he looks to make the New Zealand team to contest the Rio Olympics.
