Nauru 7s wins first international game

Nauru has won its first international rugby game ever after two years of rugby competition.

Nauru took on Solomon Islands in the Oceania Championship held in Suva, Fiji over the past two days.

The Solomon Islands came back with one try after 2nd half from 12 to 19 points on the score board however time was against them.

The full time score was 22-19 to Nauru.

Nauru gains 9th place overall in the Oceania Championships improving from 10th place in last year's Oceania 7s rugby in New Zealand.

We thank you all for everyone's support. It goes to show that patience, perseverance, sacrifice, discipline, team work has paid off considering the limited resources that we have.

Many thanks, Vinaka vaka levu, Tubwa kor ouwak. Fiji you are a beautiful host and thank you so much for this wonderful experience.
