Digicel Nauru announced the launch of its world- class LTE (Long Term Evolution) network yesterday.
LTE delivers superior Internet services that allows users to surf, stream, socialize and download at very high speed.
For home and business users, Digicel has also launched innovative and affordable LTE broadband services that will help improve efficiencies.
His Excellency, the President of Nauru, the Honorable Baron Waqa opened the LTE launch by sharing the story of Digicel’s journey in Nauru and encouraged the crowd to look forward to a bigger, better and brighter future with Digicel.
Digicel Nauru CEO, Francis Thomsen stated that, ‘We are excited to bring the latest technology into Nauru offering our customers a bigger better faster network experience’.
LTE is available to 75% of the population and plans are in place to enhance LTE coverage throughout Nauru.
To experience LTE, customers will need to have an LTE capable device, an LTE ready SIM card and be in an LTE coverage area. Customers can check if they have LTE by visiting a Digicel store, or by calling Customer Care on 123.
