Pacific Hub lists new investment opportunities in the Pacific

The Pacific Hub, Pacific Trade Invest New Zealand’s (PTI NZ) trade and investment opportunities website has added new opportunities to its list in 2017.

Alongside the existing investment opportunities, these new opportunities take the total to 98 investable opportunities in the region.  The new investment opportunities range from all areas of the spectrum.

PTI NZ’s Trade & Investment Commissioner Michael Greenslade said, “Pacific Hub has seen great success, with plenty of engagement from our investors, predominantly from our tourism category.

“The Pacific Hub was conceived and built by our team in Auckland. We felt that we needed a permanent online presence to promote investment ready projects from the Pacific,” he added.

Manuel Valdez is Chief Investment Officer alongside Mr Greenslade.

Mr Valdez said, “It is interesting to note that Pacific Hub is attracting a lot of business people not only from New Zealand but also from other countries both within and outside the Pacific region.”

The Pacific Hub or www.pacifichub.co.nz is Pacific Trade Invest New Zealand’s investment website where trade/supplier opportunities are listed.  It is here where businesses big and small from through the Pacific Island forum member countries can list business opportunities free of charge, whilst investors can view the business opportunities.  The site is easily navigable. All investment opportunities are vetted by PTI NZ before they are approved for listing on the website.

There are 12 investment categories including Tourism, Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Food and Beverage to organics.

In recent years the number of opportunities had stabilised.  But the numbers were given a big shove at the end of 2017 through consistent efforts to get more listings.  By far the most popular investment opportunities were in tourism.
